Okay, I'm getting caught up here. It's been a few days since we've been able to upload all the pictures from the camera and get everything in one place. Fortunately, I know that day 10 was also July 10th, and that it was a Tuesday, so I should be able to figure it out from there. We were all VERY sad to be leaving Napoleon. We said goodbye to Danny (twice, because we were slower getting out than we anticipated -really, we should have figured out by now that we will ALWAYS be slower than anticipated - and he got back before we had left), and made a quick stop at Chief. One souvenir my dad asked for was some Monster cookies, so we had to make sure that happened. We headed south though Cincinnati and over the river into Kentucky, where we met Lindsey for lunch.
We then drove to our big destination of the day, the Ark Encounter. We had heard that it was pretty impressive.

It was HUGE. And very expensive. Really, none of us were that impressed. I felt like, other than the sheer size of it, I could have read a book for a lot less money and gotten all the same information and seen the same exhibits, rather than endless walking around and looking at pictures and informative displays. We were thankful for the AC, since it was blazing hot outside. There was a petting zoo outside that we suffered through for the sake of the goats.

Our official review of the Ark Encounter: Save your money. Not worth it. Seeing it in person was cool, but that's about it.Next we headed to our KOA in Louisville. It had a great pool and Layla and Micah went right in.
While Shane cooked hot dogs inside the stifling trailer. We had to stay up kind of late to let the trailer air out and cool off enough to be tolerable to attempt sleeping. I was exceptionally thankful for my earplugs because the cicadas there were INSANE! So loud, and I don't think they shut up all night. Oh yeah, and it was Layla's last day to be 12.
