monday: layla had her appointment with the rheumatologist at children’s. after an exam, labs, x-rays, and lots of questions, it looks like a preliminary diagnosis of Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis. now we wait for results and then make a plan for how to best treat it and prevent long-term damage.
also monday: it seems that bonez is (mistakenly) under the impression that he is a lap dog…
tuesday: big test for the new dog… will he pass the crusty casserole dish test?
wednesday: our dominos remodeled and put in this awesome chalkboard wall.
thursday: I have no idea why, but micah is suddenly planning his birthday party. he has been making all of these adorable decorations. “it’s my birthday today. arent you excited?”
saturday: “therapy” session for toby. I put the dog outside and forced him to come downstairs. he lasted about 5 minutes on my lap before running away.
and some extras:
1. yes, bonez passed the test. in fact, I think he did a better job than the labs!
2. the cute robot they made.
3. long saturday walk on the trail… “it’s too far.” “my feet are going to fall off.”

tuesday: bonez meets toby, as depicted by micah… it did not go particularly well. there was a lot of chasing, a lot of yelling, a little bit of peeing, and just a little bit of almost getting eaten… micah thought it was funny.
sipping champagne through a red vine. yum!
some extras of our beautiful boy.

saturday: “mom! take a picture of me with toby!”

sunday: a tradition dating back to my childhood. there’s an office park near our church that is (for lack of a better way to put it) built in the middle of a swamp. wetlands, may be a little classier. at any rate, there’s a slough surrounding it, and a lot of the parking lots are frequently flooded. BUT, it makes it a popular place for ducks and geese, and in the spring, you can always find babies! so after church, we went ‘sunday driving’ through the office park in search of ducklings, and were not disappointed.
couple of skinnies:
1) costume day!!!!
2) april’s date night. we went out for mexican and I got the HUGEST margarita!
