project life–july 2012

week 27: nothing outrageously unorthodox. week 28: this was birthday week, so obviously there were a lot of pictures. I have an 8x10 collage from both birthdays and 2 5x7 collages for each that covers various festivities. week 29: week 30: pretty straightforward. I have 3 more pictures to stick in those bottom 3 slots, but I won’t get them until I get next week’s pictures printed and then I’ll stick them in.

a little trip through shane’s childhood

today, I decided it was time to organize all of the bins of shane’s too-small clothes that I have stored for micah to eventually use. 6 bins. I’ve been meaning to do this for awhile, but haven’t gotten around to it. for whatever reason, shane’s bins are always very disorganized, even though we always have one in use, to dump stuff into as it gets too small. apparently he doesn’t grow out of a particular size all at once because there was a LOT of sorting involved. he also has a habit of keeping clothes hanging in his closet or on a shelf for years, and never wearing it… at any rate, I brought all the bins in from the garage today, emptied their contents into various piles, and sorted by size, for the most part, except for shoes, winter clothes, and a few odds and ends. this was the end result: the quantity of bins grew, since a few were completely bulging. not all of these are completely full, either, but I’m willing to sacrifice a few inches at the top for the sake of having the s

I can’t wait! it was so much fun looking at all of this stuff. every one is different, and SO beautiful! wednesday: fishing. turned into ‘swimming’… also on wednesday (above), dave made me try out the clip in pedals on shane’s bike (which will be mine when he outgrows it). this is what happened the one time I didn’t get unclipped in time… nevermind the bruise on my knee. thursday: car broke down. had to wait a long time in the hot sun. found shade next to the biodiesel pumphouse thing at the gas station. ross met us there with the toyota, and dave took a bus there. eventually… we got towed to a garage down the road. it wa
